I could not help but smile when I saw this fun and quirky baby shower. This dessert table was designed and made by the talented Beth from Cakes by Beth, cake studio in Manchester. The dessert table is striking yet simple and everything around the cute Cyclops cake compliments it. It was all tied together with lemon flavours. The table has a ‘Happy Hatching’ bird message box, where guests could write their note to the soon-to-be parents and bump, wishing them all the best for the future.
Lemon flavoured cookies and behind them is chocolate-drizzled coconut graffiti macaroons.
Tangy blue fruity sweets in jars.
Everything is labelled so guests know what they are helping themselves to.
White chocolate dipped cake Pops or ‘clops’ as Beth likes to call them!
The oh so cute centrepiece Cyclops cake, which reminds me of Uglydolls mixed with Monsters Inc.
Beth says “The reason for the cyclops was that the parents-to-be don’t like things too cute and also love zombies and monsters so it was the perfect way to combine the two. They knew they were having a boy so I brought in the blue colour theme (not too pastel) and I also added some daisy details to lift it all a little. The husband’s favourite element was the little toes on the cyclops cake!”
